CAMP GALORE 2010 COMPETITION
I apologise for this late posting.
On 30th Nov 2010, NAS Guides have participated in Camp Galore Competition organised by HQ. Camp Galore is basically an outdoor cooking challenge.

 COY 1- Su Chi, Genevieve. COY 2- Seok Kee, Elysia.
And our 2 teachers that went are Mdm Hayati and Mdm Zakiah.
This is a competition whereby guides and brownies team up to cook food to match the theme
"TOGETHER, WE CAN END EXTREME HUNGER AND POVERTY"

Our school has teamed up with East View Primary Brownies and Brownies will be in charge of preparing the food while guides are in charge of starting the fire and cooking the food.



For those that have went to the Pioneering Course on 5 June 2010, that was where we applied the skills that Uncle Mail have taught us. Collecting the twigs from opp Tampines JC and where it must have a crispy sound, collecting punk, kindlings.

On the day...


Each team are only given 5 matchsticks to light up the fire and we had 3 hours to start the fire and cook.

Even though we did not win the competition, it was certainly a great experience for all of us that have participated !
