GUIDES WORLD THINKING DAY 2013
There are four competitions. Each coy MUST send at least one entry per competition. Each coy is allowed to send in multiple entries for each competition.

Deadline for ALL entries: 7th Jan 2013, Monday.

Competition #1 (INDIVIDUAL)
Girl And Family Look-a-like Photography Competition 2013
- A creative work in the form of a digital photograph which captures the WTD theme, "Forging Family Ties".
- Photographs (coloured) are to be submitted in both soft (jpeg. format) and hard copy together with the application form.

Competition #2 (TEAM MAX 4)
What Family Ties Means To Me
- A creative work in the form of a prose titled "What Family Ties Means To Me" not exceeding 50 words.
- Poems must be the original work of the entrant.
- Entries must not have been published, self-published, published on a website or broadcast before 18 January 2013.
- Handwritten entries will not be accepted. Entries should be typed with font type Arial size 12 and printed in black ink on A4 paper. Entries can be single or double spaced.

Competition #3 (TEAM MAX 4)
Ode To Mother/Father Poetry Competition
- A creative work in the form of a poem titled "Ode to Mother" or "Ode to Father".
- All poems must not exceed 25 lines in length (excluding title).
- Poems must be the original work of the entrant.
- Entries must not have been published, self-published, published on a website or broadcast before 18 January 2013.
- Handwritten entries will not be accepted. Entries should be typed with font type Arial size 12 and printed in black ink on A4 paper. Entries can be single or double spaced.
- Entries must be written in English.

Competition #4 (TEAM MAX 4)
Bear Making Competition
- A creative work in the form of creating a beat with a height between 25cm to 40cm. The bears can be sewn, crocheted, needle-felted, knitted (or combined techniques). Clothes such as t-shirt, apron, trousers, jumper, overalls, costume, dress etc are allowed.
- Entries can be self designed or by using the template provided. (Template will given once you sign up for the competition.)

Please text your name(s), class(es), patrol(s) and the competition you're joining to Nisa (Coy 1 Guides) and Yanting (Coy 2 Guides) by 26/10/2012, Friday.


GUIDES YEAR END DAY CAMP
Dates : 15/16 November 2012
- Consent forms are to be submitted to Ms Lau's locker by 23 October. Patrol leaders, please remind your patrol members. Thank you.


WALKATHON CARD
- Guides are required to raise at least $80 out of the $250.
- Please read the instructions given.
- Collection: 1st Guides meeting of the year 2013.
- Submit to Ms Farhana PERSONALLY. Do not place the card and/or the money in her locker.

PS; someone left their coy tee last Friday. Please find Nisa (3R5) on Monday. Thanks!
